The National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) is a premier analytical testing & research organization established as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. It is the only laboratory in the country responsible for human sports dope testing. It is headed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Dr. Puran Lal Sahu is the Scientific Director of NDTL. It is accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration Laboratories, NABL (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) for human dope testing of urine & blood samples from human sports. NDTL is one of the 29 WADA accredited laboratories Archived 2021-04-18 at the Wayback Machine in the world. It is one of the modern and state-of-the-art laboratories in the country equipped with the latest analytical instrumentation.
Another 2015 meta-analysis found no association between lifetime cannabis use and risk of head or neck cancer. Nuclear medicine is the use of open radionuclides for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes (radionuclide therapy). It also includes the use of other radioactive substances and nuclear physics techniques for functional and localization diagnostics. George de Hevesy (1885-1966) lived as a lodger and in 1923 suspected that his landlady was offering him pudding that he had not eaten the following week. He mixed a small amount of a radioactive isotope into the leftovers. When she served him the pudding a week later, he was able to detect radioactivity in a sample of the casserole. When he showed this to his landlady, she immediately gave him notice. The method he used made him the father of nuclear medicine. It became known as the tracer method, which is still used today in nuclear medicine diagnostics. A small amount of a radioactive substance, its distribution in the organism, and its path through the human body can be tracked externally. This provides information about various metabolic functions of the body. The continuous development of radionuclides has improved radiation protection. For example, the mercury compounds 203chloro-merodrin and 197chloro-merodrin were abandoned in the 1960s as substances were developed that allowed a higher photon yield with less radiation exposure. Beta emitters such as 131I and 90Y are used in radionuclide therapy. In nuclear medicine diagnostics, the beta+ emitters 18F, 11C, 13N, and 15O are used as radioactive markers for tracers in positron emission tomography (PET).

== Career == In 2004, Friedler joined the Institute of Chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a senior lecturer. He became an associate professor with tenure in 2009 and was appointed full professor in 2015. From 2005 to 2009, he headed the university's undergraduate chemistry–biology programme. He was head of the School of Chemistry. Friedler served as vice rector of the Hebrew University from 2016 to 2020. During the same period, he chaired the university's central student admissions committee. He was dean of its Faculty of Science from 2020 to 2024. He chaired the Hebrew University for the Youth from 2019 to 2024. In October 2024, Friedler became director and chief executive officer of SHARE, the Singapore–Hebrew University Alliance for Research and Enterprise.

==== Loan to Queens Park Rangers ==== On 31 January 2013, Townsend followed Redknapp to Premier League club Queens Park Rangers on loan until the end of the season. He made twelve appearances for the club, including a Man of the Match performance on his debut, scoring two goals in March, a dipping volley from outside the penalty area in a 3–1 win at home to Sunderland, and an equalising deflection in a 3–2 away loss to Aston Villa. QPR were ultimately relegated, and Townsend returned to his parent club.

=== Availability/affordability === Infliximab is supplied as a sterile, white, lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder, so must be reconstituted and administered by a health care professional, usually in a hospital or office setting. For this reason, it is usually covered under major medical insurance rather than prescription drug coverage. The loading regimen for all approved indications occurs at weeks 0, 2, and 6 at the above dosages. In the UK, infliximab is available from the NHS for Crohn's disease treatment provided three criteria are met. Patients should have severe active Crohn's disease with a CDAI score of 300 or more, have not responded to immunomodulating drugs and corticosteroids, and for whom surgery is inappropriate. Since February 2015, it is also approved for the treatment of ulcerative colitis where other treatments have not worked. In Australia, infliximab is available through the PBS for Crohn's disease treatment provided the patient has not responded to conventional treatment and has a severe case of the condition. Johnson & Johnson reported in its 2013 annual report, "Remicade (infliximab), accounted for approximately 9.4% of the Company's total revenues for fiscal 2013." A self-injectable, subcutaneous version of infliximab, Zymfentra, was approved for medical use in the United States in October 2023.

Native GLP-1 is degraded within minutes by dipeptidyl peptidase-4 and neutral endopeptidases. Semaglutide carries a non-natural amino acid at position eight that blocks that cleavage, and a fatty diacid side chain that binds albumin. The result is a much longer duration of action than the native hormone.
The fatty diacid chain associates strongly with serum albumin, which keeps the peptide in circulation and shields it from rapid renal clearance. Bound peptide is released gradually, producing a sustained receptor signal. This mechanism also reduces the peak-to-trough variation seen with shorter-acting analogues.
The balance between peripheral receptor activation and signalling in the central nervous system is not fully resolved. The extent to which slowed gastric emptying accounts for reduced energy intake, compared with direct effects on appetite circuits, is debated.
